Obituary of Gary Taylor

Gary “Gus” Taylor, aged 66, of Billerica, MA, departed from us on April 11th, 2024, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. Surrounded by the embrace of his beloved family and friends, he embarked on his journey beyond.

To honor and celebrate Gary's remarkable life, services will be held at Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, on April 19th from 4:00-7:00 pm, where family and friends are invited to gather and reminisce.

Born in Cambridge, MA, to the late Stillman Taylor of Maine and Helen Yorke of Cambridge, Gary's life was marked by purpose and compassion. A graduate of Cambridge Ringe and Latin, he discovered fulfillment as a Clinical Case Manager and addiction specialist in Lowell, MA, among his diverse professional pursuits.

Gary found solace in the simple joys of golfing, fishing, all Boston sports teams and caring for his beloved wife. His legacy will forever be woven with threads of kindness and generosity, remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Linda Sonnenberg, his sons Shawn, Jeffrey, and Patrick, and his treasured grandchildren Emma, Ryan, Ethan, Aubree, Mikayla, Brendan, and Michael. In addition, he is survived by his brothers Wayne of Florida, Kevin of Maine, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his granddaughter Sophia and his brothers Robert and Brian.
