Obituary of Irving H. Hildreth

 

Irving "Irve" Henry Hildreth, age 90, of North Billerica, MA, passed away on February 22, 2024. Born in Framingham, MA on January 16, 1934, Irve was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Irve, known for his hardworking nature and love for family, spent four years in the Navy despite having 12 toes and being unable to swim, a testament to his determination and resilience. After his military service, he dedicated his life to building a family, making friends, and enjoying retirement activities, such as cruising with his wife.

A passionate farmer, Irve enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with loved ones. His vibrant personality and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Irve is survived by his wife, Janet, sons Leon and Joseph, daughters Dawn, Tina, Karen, and their families, brother-in-law Edward, sister-in-law Maureen, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Leta, and brothers Lloyd and Albert.

A small graveside service will be held for immediate family only to honor Irve's memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).

Irve will be remembered for his dedication to family, his adventurous spirit, and his unwavering love for those around him. May he rest in peace. He will be deeply missed.
