John A. MacMillan II of Billerica passed away early on Saturday morning, August 4, 2012 at the Bedford Veterans Administration Hospital. He was the beloved husband Sandra (Giovannangelo) MacMillan, with whom he recently celebrated fifty years of marriage. Born in Cambridge, March 20, 1943, he was the son of the late John MacMillan and Lillian (Fucile) Phinney.

He also held the elected post of Massachusetts Republican State Committeeman for the 4th Middlesex District, which includes Arlington, Billerica, Burlington, Lexington, and Woburn. He loved his community and his country and always hoped that his military career, along with his participation in politics, would lead to a better life for his family and others in his community.
